(2-Amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophen-3-yl)(phenyl)methanone is also used in the synthesis of thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines and pyrrolo[3,4-b]quinoxalines as antimicrobial agents.
